Man I can’t believe it’s been almost 4 years…

Back before social networking was all the rage…

Back before anyone even realized that sites like Facebook would go mainstream in a BIG way…

There was BetterNetworker.com

And a handful of us CRAZY internet marketers that KNEW we had a hold of something big.

The year was 2007 and Attraction Marketing had taken it’s grip on the Industry and everyone wanted to learn about it

And there we were…a group of yahoos…having the time of our lives!

I remember the day Mike Dillard asked me to join the instruction team at the site.

I was so honored …still am.

And today I am more honored than ever to be a part of the new interview series that the site is coming out with.

BetterNetworker.com had all access at the recent No Excuses Summit in Las Vegas and after each speaker took the stage they grabbed us and put us in a room and GRILLED us (just kidding) right while we were juiced up from speaking so we would give Better Networker memebers the very best stuff we had.

But there is just something about them…

Something INTANGIBLE.

You can’t quite put your finger on it but you can FEEL IT.

And when you listen to them for a little while you FEEL LIKE MORE.

You feel bigger…larger and STRONGER.

Don’t you?

Early on in my career I began to notice the difference between guy and girls like the ones mentioned above and everyone else and I decided that I wanted to be like the BIG GUYS who always seemed to move with such easy and flow.

You NEVER saw this type get all riled up.

You NEVER saw them sweat…

All you saw was GRACE and BEAUTY and THAT was what I wanted.

Heck…I watched my first mentor play golf and ride around on his huge boat and make $800k a year and I wanted a piece of that…

So then and there I decided that I was gonna spend more time on studying their mannerisms and their THOUGHT PROCESS and most of all the PSYCHOLOGY behind what they did.

And what I discovered is that people so not follow people who WAIVER.

In order to have the success you want…aside from learning the business mechanics that you need..

You MUST become a ROCK.

Rock Solid of Action

Rock Solid of Mind

Rock Solid of Spirit

And UNTIL you do the MENTAL work to get to this place…

No program and no product is gonna give you the success you desire.

It just DOESN’T EXIST.

So as you consider your plan of action for 2011…

Please consider what you are studying.

Please consider the work you are doing.

And whatever you do…find yourself a ROCK…A MENTOR who has walked before youand who can groom you as they KNOW the moves that you need to learn.

There are certain things that you can not learn from a webinar…

No matter how many times you watch it.

You need CORRECTION from a master.

Walk with a ROCK and be PATIENT and you too can become a ROCK.

And when you do…people will follow you to the ends of the Earth.

It’s THAT easy.

Gutenberg invented the printing press and BOOM…

The world changed…information was flowing…

All created information flow and with each innovation

Society TILTED because people were becoming more informed.

Why the backlash after Vietnam but not WWII or Korea???

Because people could SEE what was going on…

Right in their living room…

In living color.

And today the same thing is happening in the home business world.

A few marketers have pulled back the curtain and for the FIRST time the little guys

are SEEING what has been going on for DECADES.

And I can’t blame people for wanting MORE

Finally they are able to see how it is done…

And people want to do it too…

And they are buying information products in DROVES to

learn more and more with the dream of creating MILLIONS

ONLY ONE PROBLEM

Along with the millions comes HEAVY responsibility.

Always has.

And no one is talking about that.

Think about it…

What kind of responsibility did Dexter Yaeger carry to build an organization of that size?

What did Mark Hughes go through to build Herbalife?  Mary Kay?

What did Mike Dillard do to create his empire?

I watched him.

I remember when Magnetic first came out as a product for him MLM team.

I saw him build brick by brick over many years.

Building something like he did is HARD.

It’s not all milk and cookies with a few marketing funnels thrown in.

The people who build these companies did some very specific things and studied some

very specific business concepts.

They were not part of a “tribe” and they did not spend their days writing blog posts

or researching key words to get their article ranked.

(And for the record…I am NOT mocking my colleagues who sell info on these topics or do these activities

and you will see why in a minute so don’t jump to conclusions)

Building large organizations, membership programs, info product companies etc

is about making a decision to take on a HUGE responsibility…not only for the

running of the company but for the education of the masses.

And I SALUTE each and every one of my colleagues who has made the choice

to carry that burden.

You are amazing people and amazing instructors and BRILLIANT business people.

They have the privilege of impacting thousands and the excitement of making A LOT of money.

And also the responsibility of running affiliate payments, payroll, handling employees..media buys,

TAXATION issues(huge changes coming for 2010) etc

They have to know it all or hire people who do.

They are not toodling around making amateur videos at Starbucks <LOL>

They are running CORPORATIONS around a board table (and occasionally a ski slope..

But that’s another story)

I just really want you to UNDERSTAND what’s involved.

I want you to be CLEAR on what these guys do.

And then there’s me.

That’s just not what I want.

People ask me all the time…

Diane..when are you gonna  _______

You really should  __________

You’d make a fortune if you  ___________

And I giggle.

Yes…I have studied all of this great stuff.

YES…because of it I make great money and enjoy a great lifestyle.

I get to travel…teach and do all the stuff I LOVE.

But here’s the deal…

I have a 17 year old daughter.

I have ONE YEAR LEFT before college.

I have a 14 year old daughter…

Only a few years left with her as well.

And I figure if I can make a lot of money while playing and having fun

with them…

I’ll pass on the millions.

At least for now.

Who knows…

I have the rest of my life to figure it all out…

And maybe someday I will want that.

But not now.

I got into all of this for FREEDOM.

And that is what I got.

And that is what I teach.

How to build a list of people who fall in love with you and buy stuff from you.

That’s about it.

I could care less about big organizations…

I have a ton of little ones.

I could care less about key words…

I know how to attract a crowd on my own (I was taught by a street performer of all things!)

I could care less about hits, click and analytics…

My phone rings off the hook.

What I care about it PEOPLE

And teaching a few what I figured out.

How to really be a stay at home mod, dad, artist, musician (or whatever you do)

and make a GREAT BUCK.

So if you hang around me and are looking for more..

SORRY.

But I am not that.

Cause I was the MORON who sat in the Herbalife training (my first biz op) in 1999

But the way I figured it out.

And shortly I will open a home for those of you that fell like I feel and

want what I wanted.

A LIFE and some money to live it with.

It’s all around you.

I was just watching some of Mark Hoverson’s promo videos for his new product that he is coming out with.

You know…I had the pleasure of having dinner with Mark a while ago along
with Jonathan Budd, Jason Shaver, KD Churchill, Ferny Ceballos, Ray Fong…

There was a whole crew of us.

Funny thing is that I didn’t know who Mark was at the time.

I was sitting across the table from him but had no clue of

what he had accomplished

Which is good in a way I suppose.

And we all had an amazing time flipping ideas around.
