Business Versus Buddies



I don’t get emotional about business.

I don’t feel like someone doesn’t like me if they don’t join me.

I don’t think people are mad at me if I don’t join them.

I do not cry myself to sleep if someone quits…

It’s business…

And business is not emotional.

At least not for me…

And I hope you work on making it not for you either.

Because if we are driven by the opinion of others…by social consensus…by what makes people “happy” then we are severely strangling our ability to make a profit and earn a living.

It’s not personal…it’s just BUSINESS.

And the sooner you learn that the sooner you will progress.

Just some friendly advice from your BIG SISTER in the industry.

Just for today try to do business without trying to make buddies.

You will see that it makes a BIG difference.

And MAN O MAN are they cool things.

Let’s face it…

The stakes are higher these days…

And if you don’t have a fully optimized wordpress blog
with an amazing theme plus custom graphics and a matching set
for your Twitter and YouTube…

Well basically…

If you don’t got that stuff you are a LEPER.

So you stay up all night for weeks on end…

Beat your head against the wall

And actually learn it all…

Which is SO FREEKEN AWESOME

Except for one thing….

You ain’t made a presentation for weeks…

Your upline is pissed…

Your check is tanking

Your wife wants to kill you and

Your kids don’t remember who the heck you are…

This is a video I cut over a year ago that I think is important to pull out again.

Lately I am seeing a lot of students that are struggling with starting conversations with people on the internet.

Here are some of the techniques I use to meet people, start conversations and eventually drive them to opt in on one of my sites.



THIS Is What A REAL Testimonial Sounds Like



I just found this.

I had no idea it was on the net.

Somehow it had slipped past me for 4 months.

One of my customers Ira Funderburk was on a bonus training call I did for people who purchased a particular product.

I remember this call distinctly as it turned into a magical festival of marketing….

A stream of consciousness where I just flowed for hours on end braking down complex marketing equations into child’s play.

So in any case I guess Ira was so excited after the call he sat down and cut this video.

THIS is what a testimonial should sound like.

Not another one of those BS videos where people are just saying “whatever” to appease a buddy or worse..

To get a testimonial back.

You may notice that I do not roll out a lot of those types of videos…

Why?

Because they are just not AUTHENTIC and I’d rather have one REAL testimonial that a hundred fake ones.

People can tell the difference.

And I want you to think about how you want to present yourself in the marketplace.

In a domain filled with parrots and false documentation you’ll find that the people that are REALLY “doing the do” have no need to pull out screen shots of “cascading commissions” and trick people into recording “endorsements”

Ira…if you see this…I appreciate you. And as always…It’s an honor to talk marketing with a PRO like you.

Stop false marketing practices.

Stop playing follow the leader.

WORK, TRAIN AND FLOURISH and your testimonials will come.

And when they do you will feel satisfaction in KNOWING that you have helped another.
