End of March…
Great time of the year…
Spring is just around the corner…
The crocuses are up and you can tell that the daffodils are gonna pop any minute!
I just LOVE this time of year…
BIRTH…
RENEWAL…
And also a time for reflection.
So here we are…about to hit April 1st..
And that means that the first quarter of 2011 is OVER.
Seems like yesterday we were clinking glasses and toasting and making resolutions…
But now is when the rubber hit the road and REALITY sinks in.
How did you do in your first 90 days of the year?
Did you work a plan like clockwork?
Did you build your list…
If so..by how many?
Are your sales up? Down? Non existent?
Are you in REALITY or in FANTASY?
Basically I am asking you to SHOW ME THE FRUIT of your last 3 months.
And good, bad or ugly…SIT IN THE INFORMATION for a day or two and then…
Get ready to hit is AGAIN.
April 1st starts quarter 2 and a chance to ADVANCE YOUR MOMENTUM if you
worked the first quarter strong…
OR
A chance to CATCH MOMENTUM if you need to start over from scratch.
But whatever you do…
Don’t let this MARKER pass you by.
Reflect…
Plan…
And GO TO WORK.
And then meet me back here in 90 days…
July 1st…
And let’s see where you are.
There is one thing I KNOW from my almost 12 years experience in this game…
You MUST gain MOMENTUM and then sustain it.
Sustaining it is fairly easy…
It’s getting momentum that is the uphill climb.
But I promise you..
However painful…
It’s SO worth it.
Just like LABOR which take about 9 months…
Building a home business take about 9 months (Three 90 day plans back to back) of consistent
activity to get into a groove.
Once you are in the groove it’s easy sailing.
But SO FEW will ever go through the LABOR to get the “baby” that they want.
The “baby” is a mailbox full of checks every week.
And man o man is it NICE to open those envelopes!
Pure joy.
So sit down today…
Make a decision that NOTHING will stop you and BEGIN.
April 1st is a shiny new beginning.
And guess what…
Three back to back 90 day plans will take you right to December 31st…
And this time you will REALLY have something to toast!
It was bound to happen.
It was only a matter of time and I have been warning about
it in posts, videos and conference calls for years now.

And I could go on and on…there are dozens more.

Hundreds of hours worth of FREE content…
But anyways…
I have been talking about the backlash that comes with greed and fast money for years.
Now don’t get me wrong…
I am ALL for making money.
I LOVE to make money!
I make as much as I can as often as I can <wink>
BUT
When you make money at the expense of another you are setting yourself up
for a backlash and temping universal law to SMACK your tushie and SMACK it hard.
Now I have seen it lots of times in smaller ways…
Individuals being wiped off the face of the net almost overnight.
A guy who was huge becoming NOTHING within months as word gets around about what he is doing..
But I have NEVER seen what I just saw today before and I think it is a sign of things to come.
About an hour ago I opted in to watch a training video(obviously leading into a product launch sequence)
And before I could hear a word that the major internet marketing guru was saying in his video
I could not help but notice the page was littered with with angry and even FURIOUS comments from people who had opted in before me.
There was NOT ONE positive comment on the page and there were actually two comment interfaces so it was WILD to see the number of really disgruntled people that felt the need to sound off.
People are ANGRY out there.
People are fed up out there…
And there comments had terms like “stop talking to us like we’re stupid”, Another 4 figure rip off product on the way, Stop talking about yourself…we are sick of this, etc.
It went on and on…each one filled with more animosity than the one before.
And I thought to myself…
AND IT BEGINS…
The Great Backlash of Twenty-Eleven.
Now did this particular guru deserve all this…
Probably not.
He was just launching a new product right at the time that the market place was hitting CRITICAL MASS in their fury about the glut of $2000 launches and the fact thatpretty much every Tom, Dick and Harry in the industry was trying to use these psychological ploys on their customers in order to drive more sales.
It used to be a guru did a product launch video series and the crowds would cheer and praise him
and beg for more (thus whipping out their credit cards)
Now they just throw stones and yell profanities.
The tide has surely turned.
And I believe that in 2012 we will see the end of these practices and with it the death of certain marketers.
Such is life…
Nature corrects herself.
And for all of us…
There are lessons to be had here.
The home business industry has long been plagued by hucksters who prey on unsuspecting little guys and by fast movers who DISCARD people like they discard yesterday’s trash.
If there is anything to be picked up here it’s that…
If you go down that road…Prepare for the BACKLASH.
You have a choice…
Serve people and make a RIGHT LIVING…
Or use people and suffer the consequences.
I’ll leave it at that…
And let’s visit again this time next year and see how the playing field has changed.
It will be an interesting game to watch over the months ahead.

As a leader in the home business industry I have often over the years put as a lot
of weight on my shoulders that in reality I never should have.
I guess it’s just human nature to want to “SAVE THE WORLD” especially if you are female.
But in the end I can save NO ONE.
All I can do is lend my experience to people who want to SAVE THEMSELVES.

We all know that Network Marketing is a business model built on leadership and personal responsibility…
But sometimes we find ourselves needlessly taking on the responsibilities of others: We take responsibility for how people in our lives behave or feel. How our teammates behave or feel. Or how our loved ones behave and feel…
We take responsibility for the work that others are doing or not doing.
We take responsibility for their success…
We take responsibility for their failure…
We take responsibility for the sun rising in the morning…
We take responsibility for the moon rising at night…
But where does it end?
At some point in time, we have to draw the line…
We have to realize that we are not responsible for the actions of others.
That we can’t “control” them or make decisions for them.
That we can be there in their times of need…
But that we shouldn’t stress ourselves out or get all “bent out of shape” if they don’t want to take responsibility for their success…

Just got back from spending 3 days teaching marketing non-stop to some of

We worked…we had fun…we danced and we laughed!

People think I am CRAZY…
Even after 11 years in the home business industry
I STILL sniff around for that ONE LITTLE TIP
That one little itsy bitsy piece of info that I can use
You never know exactly where you are going to find it…
So I have daily rituals of places I “troll” for information.
Because of this I found Attraction Marketing BEFORE it was even called Attraction Marketing…
I incorporated funded proposals into my sales process long before anyone in this industry knew the term and
I learned how to have folks PAY ME to prospect them!
I got into PPC before it cost an arm and a leg and I promptly left when it got expensive and crazy
but in the mean time built a big fat responsive list!
I got into video marketing before anyone knew what a stinking VLOG was…leveraging a new technology
to put myself in front of thousands of new prospects a day and building a brand that has lasted all this time
I fooled around with mobile text marketing a few years ago and decided it wasn’t gonna be huge (maybe I’m wrong)
And still today after all this I read and watch content from leaders and new guys alike looking for that ONE IDEA
that I can run down the field with.
