So I just finished up day 5 of a 7 day immersion program that I am going through.

It’s GRUELING

We begin at 8 am and end at 7pm  but tonight I got done at nine as I had to

go back for a video shoot.

I’m exhausted….

Have been exhausted since the day I got here…

And yet I am EXILERATED.

Why?

Because I KNOW what I can do for people with what I am learning this week.

And I know that I am setting my team up for 2011 by acquiring these skills.

And it truly excites me.

Let me ask you…

Have you ever gotten OBSESSED with something?

For many folks they haven’t been obsessed or in LOVE since they were kids.

They have forgotten what it is like to want to do something 24 hours a day…

No food or sleep needed.

Can you remember????

Was it skateboarding?

Was it video games???

Was it the Back Street Boys or New Kids on The Block…

Or if you are old like me…

The Bay City Rollers???

Or maybe the girl with the locker next to yours

or the cute guy in Spanish class.

If you close your eyes can you FEEL the PASSION you had?

Can you recall the way it felt?

So many people ask me…

Diane…

How do you do what you do?

How can you keep going with all the people for hours on end?

How do you pump out the content and never get sick of what you are doing?

Why are you always so damn excited???

Well now you know…

Now you know why I would fly across the country to learn certain skills

and subject myself to these long, painful days…

For the same reason that you did what you did when you were a kid OVER AND OVER AGAIN…

Because it’s BLISS.

Joy…

Happiness.

And when you find that place in YOUR BUSINESS…

Where you are doing something you LOVE so much that it’s not work at all…

THAT is when the money will come.

No guru can do that for you.

No trainer can train you for this.

I wish I could…but I can’t do that for you…

(and believe me…I have tried SO HARD to do this for people)

Only you can find the business that brings you BLISS.

And when you find it …

It would be my HONOR to help you grow that business.

Why was this song so darn appealing???

And why is it so darn hard for people to believe in themselves?

And if we do not believe in ourselves are we setting ourselves up

for failure when we begin a home or small business???

It may sound airy fairy but aren’t these questions more pressing

than how to generate 10,000 leads a day or how to optimize our wordpress blogs?

For deep down inside if  we don’t believe in ourselves aren’t we just TELEGRAPHING that

in every marketing piece we turn out?

My mentor taught me that in order to be successful we were responsible for

building ourselves to be TEN FEET TALL AND BULLET PROOF.

He taught me that until I believed my own sh#t that no matrer how hard we worked

that no one else would believe us either.

And over the last 11 years I have worked very hard on all my skill sets but

the thing I have always worked hardest on was ME and my SELF BELIEF.

So tonight as I get ready to turn in I wanted to tell you that I have the FORMULA

Something to think about this week…

Am I telegraphing my self centered objectives to everyone I come in contact with on the web…

And if so…is it impacting my business???

And when will I become the GO TO PERSON for the hoards of people that I could TOTALLY help
if I would just let go of the AGENDA?

It all boils down to…

Do I want to make a buck…

Or do I want to become a RESOURCE to people and INSURE that I make a living FOREVER.

Do you want to be known as someone who has stood the test of time

Or will you fade away and be known as the CHEESIEST???

3) What happens to girls that flash?  They often find themselves in the AM with someone they wish they weren’t with.

THINK ABOUT IT

Who you gonna recruit if you shout that stuff?

People who are looking for a buck…

And when it doesn’t show up in a week due to their lack of skill what happens?

They LEAVE.

And now there are a few of you that think you know better…

And you are thinking…yeah but i sold them my funded proposal and I made money on them…

Well that’s great…

But it is getting you any closer to the life you dream of???

The residuals you need to walk away and the stability you need to protect your family?

Or are you dependent on the next $2k hit???

And when you are desperate and you need the money cause rent is due…

Who will you hurt to get it?

A single mother who is risking her last dime?

A retired couple who got wiped out in the stock market crash?

As I said…Flashing is done by young people (you may be older in years but young in the industry)

who are under the influence of a SUBSTANCE (in this case GREED)

NOPE…

The high road my be slower but I promise you that the scenery is MUCH nicer.

I am sitting here getting ready to head out with my family for Labor Day Weekend.

If you know me at all you know that holidays are a big deal to me and
often I do a call or a video to mark the occasion

But today I thought it might be fun to take a look back and see where I was a few years ago.

This video was cut Labor Day weekend 2007

So much has changed for me since then and yet if you listen to the message it is

EXACTLY what I would say to you today if I were to cut a video.

Watch…and think a bit this weekend.

Why not COMMIT to making this the LAST Labor Day where you are one of the workers.

It’s possible.

This week I have been speaking with folks all about finding their passion and

identifying THEIR PEOPLE—Their target market.

Today I got a great letter from someone and I asked the gal if it was ok to

create a response that I could share with everyone.

Unfortunately I did a screen capture and found out afterwards that the copy was

The question was:

Ok,

so I know what I need to do, and I think you are watching me thinking why am I not doing it.

But you hit it right on… Wednesday (which is such a huge help Diane!!!!) that I don’t know my passion or

my people.

I think I got clearer then on who I am talking to when you spoke about the target market.

Lately I saw that I enjoy helping others brainstorm on how to build a list and create a funnel.

Ironically that is what I am working on.

I think that my people are: Frustrated online Marketers (and this is what I am not 100% clear about)

Do I need to be even more specific?

Mother’s with children, homeschooling mothers, stay at home mothers (but I am really good with men??)

I think that my keywords are:

sales funnels

list building

social media list building

using social media for business

online marketing

building a business online

etc

Any thoughts, ideas?

What I want you guys to understand is that I am NOT discounting the importance

of learning about key words and all that good stuff…

But that when you mose in passion and you move in service you will be STUNNED at

how people seem to find you and how you can learn almost anything and how

others who FEEL your passion show up to help you get your message out.

Why not try it for a while.

DECIDE to be consistent in getting your message out.

Become the GO TO PERSON for your target market and find out just how quickly they will find you.
